Job summary

Confidential Company is seeking a Design Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in the Oil & Gas sector to develop, review, and validate mechanical designs and FEED packages. You will ensure all drawings and documents meet industry standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities include calculations, equipment/material specification, and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver aligned, compliant engineering deliverables on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with FEED and mechanical design calculations.
• Familiarity with codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop FEED packages including mechanical design calculations and datasheets.
• Review project drawings and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform mechanical design calculations and equipment/material selections.
• Collaborate with piping, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams for integrated delivery.
• Ensure designs meet client requirements and international standards.
• Provide technical support during project execution and during design changes.

Job description

Design Mechanical Engineer with hands‑on experience in the Oil Gas industry The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing reviewing and validating mechanical designs preparing FEED Front-End Engineering Design packages and ensuring that all project drawings and technical documents meet industry standards codes and project specifications

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop FEED packages including mechanical design calculations datasheets and technical specifications
• Review and verify project drawings datasheets and technical documents for accuracy completeness and compliance with project requirements and standards
• Perform mechanical design calculations equipment selection and material specification in line with project requirements
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including piping civil electrical and instrumentation engineers to ensure integrated project delivery
• Ensure designs meet client requirements project timelines and international standards
• Provide technical support during project execution including design modifications clarifications and troubleshooting
• Ensure all engineering deliverables adhere to HSE standards company policies and applicable codes
• Support procurement activities by providing technical input for mechanical equipment and material selection
• Assist in developing project schedules cost estimates and technical reports
• Proven ability to review project drawings technical documents audits and project meetings
• Demonstrate excellent analytical communication and coordination skills to ensure effective collaboration and project delivery

Education and Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in engineering software/tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, Smart Plant, or similar).
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, codes, and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.).

Special Skills:

• Familiarity with project management tools and documentation control systems.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
