Job description

We are seeking a highly skilledDesign Engineerto lead and coordinatemechanical, structural, and process design activitieswithin our engineering department. This role requires expertise inpressure vessel design, heat exchanger engineering, and oil & gas processing systems. The Design Engineer will be responsible for translating technical requirements into accurate designs, performing calculations, and ensuring compliance withASME, ANSI, and ISO 9000 standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implementdesign engineering, detailing, and monitoring and controlling drafting activities.
• Providing accurate information for doingcost estimatesfor RFQ responses to estimation department.
• Establish and enforcebest design practicesto improvequality, productivity, and optimization.
• Control and manageengineering job files, ensuring proper documentation and release of designs.
• Communicate and updatedesign changeswith production and quality teams in line withISO 9000 procedures.
• Providetechnical expertise and guidanceacross departments within the organization.
• Capable of making technical discussion with client and auditors including ASME audits
• Familiar with ASMEVIII Div. 1 and Dev. 2 requirements and phased ASME Audits as auditee for design and development in Div. 1, Div. 2, NB Rand ASME 31.3 requirements.
• Ensure100% accuracy of designs, drawings, and technical documents.
• Capable of doing timebound design and detailing
• Ensure compliance withISO 9000 and ASME standardsin all engineering activities.
• Conductperformance reviews, technical training, and professional developmentfor engineering staff.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams fordesign approvals and technical discussions.
• Travel as required forcustomer engagement and project execution.

Preferred Candidate

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree inMechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Master’s degree (preferred).
• Experience:
• 5 – 10 years of experienceinpressure vessel engineering design.
• Strong background inheat exchanger designis an added advantage.
• Proven expertise inASME and API vessel, tanks and piping codes.
• Experience in anISO 9000-certified environmentis preferred.

• ExpertiseAutoCAD, Compress, PV Elite, CodeWare, and MRP/ERP systems.
