Job summary

Voltech HR Services (VHRS) seeks an experienced Design Engineer in Kuwait to lead substation design projects up to 400 kV. You will produce and review SLDs, protection schemes, and equipment layouts, coordinating GIS/AIS requirements with clients and consultants.

The role requires 5+ years drafting experience in high-voltage projects, fluent technical English, and strong skills in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Bluebeam Revu, and MS Office. On-site work in Kuwait with an attractive package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years drafting experience in HV substations, power plants, or utilities.
• Fluent English for reading technical drawings and annotations.
• Autodesk AutoCAD Professional / Revit MEP Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Substation design up to 400 kV, create and review SLDs and protection schemes.
• Ensure IEC/utility standard compliance for underground cable systems.
• Design and review HV/EHV cables up to 400 kV; evaluate sizing and installation methods.

Job Description:

• Substation Design (Up to 400 kV), Review and develop, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Protection schemes, Equipment layouts Coordinate GIS / AIS design requirements
• Ensure compliance with IEC and utility standards underground Cable Systems
• Design and review HV/EHV cable systems (up to 400 kV)
• Evaluate: Cable sizing, routing, and installation methods, Jointing and termination requirements
• Support technical submissions and approvals Overhead Transmission Lines
• Review and support design of OHL systems up to 400 kV
• Coordinate with tower design, conductor selection, and line routing
• Ensure compliance with technical and environmental requirements Technical Coordination
• Interface with Consultants, Clients, Contractors
• Review technical submittals and respond to clarifications
• Support value engineering and optimization; Certified Autodesk AutoCAD Professional / Certified Revit MEP User
• 5+ years of drafting experience specifically focused on high-voltage substations, power plants, or utility infrastructure projects
• English (Fluent in reading technical drawings and annotations)
• Advanced mastery of AutoCAD (2D/3D), Revit MEP, Bluebeam Revu, and MS Office
