Position: Data Center Storage Engineers support the enterprise storage infrastructure across all sites within the RCC-SWA Area of Responsibility. They optimize, administer, and document the enterprise storage systems, resolving change requests and acting as the top support escalation point. Key technical areas include NetApp, EMC, VMware, Windows DFS, Cisco UCS, and related technologies.

This position offers company-paid housing and transportation, a completion bonus, and tuition reimbursement. Candidates must meet all host country requirements to work legally in the host country.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide enterprise support for storage protocols such as NetApp CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, and FC/FCoE, supporting systems including VMware ESXi, Unix, Linux, and Windows. Regularly report on storage capacity, utilization, system uptime, and performance. Monitor storage health and integrity across the SWA AOR.
  2. Manage VMware storage requirements, configuration, and provisioning. Lead storage projects related to backup, disaster recovery, data protection, upgrades, and system audits.
  3. Document Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for storage configuration, management, and physical disk management, including data protection, access control, resource monitoring, high availability, and scalability.
  4. The work environment is primarily indoor (95%) with some outdoor activity (5%).
  5. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education/Certifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IS, Engineering, or related field is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered. Candidates must adhere to DoD 8570.01 requirements, maintaining at least one baseline and one CE certification from the authorized list.
  • Experience: Minimum five years of practical experience with network and system data technologies. Proficiency with CIFS, NFS, FC, iSCSI protocols, NetApp On-Command System Manager, Data ONTAP CLI, and SAN switches is required. Experience with capacity planning and reporting is also necessary.
  • Skills & Technologies: Troubleshooting, decision-making under pressure, excellent communication, virtualization technologies, VMware vSphere 7.0+, Cisco UCS management, and virtualization capacity planning.
