An established industry player is seeking a skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to oversee daily maintenance activities and troubleshoot HVAC systems. This role requires a strong background in electro-mechanical systems and supervisory experience, particularly in large buildings or industrial settings. Responsible for daily maintenance activities with electro-mechanical troubleshooting knowledge in HVAC, mechanical, electrical, controls, and building automation systems.
Suggest equivalent spare parts for obsolete models with proper documentation.
Follow EQUATE's technical methods, standards, and loss prevention programs.
Have basic knowledge of unit operations.
Comply with EH&S policies and procedures, including safety training and work practices.
Keep work area and equipment clean and ready; conduct preventive maintenance of all HVAC systems and electrical-related conduit installation jobs.
Execute all jobs assigned by EQUATE personnel.
Perform housekeeping after job completion.
Update equipment history and records accurately.
Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills in English.
Be aware of and understand industrial safety policies.
Possess good supervisory and communication skills.
Work independently with confidence to solve HVAC electrical-related problems.
Have knowledge of all types of electrical protection relays.
Capable of reading and understanding all types of HVAC drawings and operating HVAC test equipment.
Must be a 3-year diploma graduate or hold a BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in HVAC maintenance in large buildings, hotels, hospitals, or industrial settings, preferably in oil & gas or petrochemical industries.
Familiar with routine maintenance procedures.
Have high supervisory skills with experience leading HVAC maintenance groups of at least 30 personnel.
Knowledge of HVAC controls, building automation systems (CMMS), and computer software such as MS Office.
Understand HVAC instrument systems and design drawings.
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
Salary: 160-180 KD
