Job Responsibilities
- Provide senior technical consultation and solution-oriented guidance to support decision-making on complex reservoir engineering and upstream challenges.
- Define study scopes and lead technical studies to identify field-development opportunities, performance improvements, and optimization areas.
- Review major technical and commercial issues and coordinate data gathering, analysis, and multidisciplinary assessments to develop appropriate solutions.
- Review reservoir engineering studies, analyses, forecasts, and recommendations and prepare technical proposals for management decision-making.
- Lead and support field-development planning, reservoir management, and implementation of development strategies using industry best practices.
- Conduct and supervise integrated reservoir studies, including rate transient analysis, well modeling, reservoir simulation, forecasting, and reservoir performance management.
- Evaluate field-development and appraisal strategies through technical and economic analysis to identify optimum development options.
- Review complex technical and business processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Evaluate and support the implementation of emerging technologies, processes, and methodologies to address reservoir engineering challenges.
- Review and provide technical input to short- and long-term development plans, business plans, and strategic initiatives.
- Review reservoir engineering policies, procedures, and technical studies and provide recommendations on critical technical and business matters.
- Provide technical coaching and mentoring to reservoir engineering professionals and support knowledge and competency development.
- Participate in strategic technical planning and development of short- and long-term improvement initiatives.
- Apply risk management principles in reservoir engineering activities and support continuous improvement of risk-management practices.
- Ensure all activities comply with applicable HSE requirements, industry standards, and organizational procedures.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related Oil & Gas engineering discipline.
- Minimum 20 years of professional upstream Oil & Gas experience, preferably with major E&P organizations.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong expertise in integrated reservoir studies, reservoir simulation, well modeling, rate transient analysis, forecasting, and reservoir performance management.
- Proven experience in developing, scoping, and managing complex technical studies, projects, and programs.
- Strong knowledge of field-development planning, reservoir management, production optimization, and economic evaluation.
- Experience providing senior technical advice and recommendations for complex reservoir engineering and field-development challenges.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, leadership, communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Knowledge of risk management, HSE requirements, and applicable international Oil & Gas standards and best practices.
