About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a commis 1 to join Main Kitchen at Jumeirah Messilah Beach. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

1. Assist culinary teams to enhance team spirit, credibility, respect, openness, and trust.
2. Report accidents and sickness immediately to the Chef de Cuisine with clear, concise details.
3. Identify and request assistance prior to any equipment breakdowns, and relay information to the chef de cuisine for prompt action.
4. Adhere to company policies on safety procedures, food hygiene, and safe food handling.
5. Ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained in all kitchen areas, coordinating with the Stewarding Manager.
6. Monitor quality ingredients, ensuring proper ordering, receiving, storage, and preparation to support financial targets.

About You:

1. Should have 1 year of minimum experience in culinary in a five-star hotel.
2. Able to handle multiple tasks.
3. Work in a multicultural environment.
4. Knowledge of the style of cuisine.
5. Knowledge of HACCP as well as general health & safety in the workplace.
