Client of Besst Group seeks a Clinical Psychologist to provide assessments, diagnosis and evidence-based therapies for adult patients with emotional and behavioral conditions in Kuwait City, emphasizing patient-centered care and teamwork.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Clinical Psychology, 5+ years hospital/mental health experience, and proficiency in CBT/DBT/EMDR/ACT with strong evaluation and documentation skills and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology.
• 5+ years of hospital or specialized mental health experience.
• Proven experience treating adults with addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based approaches CBT/DBT/ACT/EMDR or similar modalities.
• Excellent assessment, diagnostic and case-management skills.
• Strong communication and therapeutic relationship-building abilities.
• Fluent English in clinical practice and licensure eligibility in UAE.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations and clinical interviews for adults.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on findings and patient needs.
• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, addiction and related conditions.
• Apply CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR or other modalities as appropriate.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Maintain confidential, timely documentation and treatment records per hospital policies.
• Provide psychological education and guidance to patients and families when appropriate.
• Identify patients requiring crisis intervention and provide support or referrals.

Job description

The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for providing comprehensive psychological assessment diagnosis and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for adult patients experiencing a wide range of emotional behavioral and psychological conditions This role plays a vital part in delivering patient-centered mental healthcare by developing individualized treatment plans promoting psychological well-being and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal clinical outcomes while maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments diagnostic evaluations and clinical interviews for adult patients


• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs


• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy for adults experiencing anxiety disorders depression trauma PTSD addiction and substance use disorders stress-related conditions and emotional or behavioral challenges


• Apply recognized therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy CBT Dialectical Behavior Therapy DBT Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ACT EMDR or other evidence-based modalities as appropriate


• Monitor patient progress evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust therapeutic interventions when necessary


• Maintain accurate confidential and timely clinical documentation assessment reports and treatment records in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards


• Provide psychological education and guidance to patients and when appropriate their families or caregivers


• Identify patients requiring crisis intervention and provide appropriate psychological support or referral


• Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines professional regulations hospital policies and applicable healthcare legislation MOH license

Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology.Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital or specialized mental health center.Proven experience treating adult patients with addiction, trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and related psychological conditions.Strong knowledge and practical experience in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, or other recognized treatment modalities.Excellent psychological assessment, diagnostic, and case management skills.Strong communication, interpersonal, and therapeutic relationship-building abilities.Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.Eligibility to obtain or hold professional licensure to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in the UAE.
