We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic real estate development team in Kuwait. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning, designing, and overseeing construction projects across our diverse portfolio of real estate developments.

Job Description:

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for managing all aspects of civil engineering for our real estate projects, from initial site assessment to final construction. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities:

This position includes but does not limit to the following:

• Conduct comprehensive site investigations, analyzing topographical data, soil conditions, and environmental factors to determine site suitability for development
• Design and oversee the implementation of essential infrastructure, including roads, utilities, drainage systems, and other site-specific requirements
• Develop detailed site plans that optimize land use while ensuring compliance with local zoning regulations and building codes
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
• Manage construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, quality standards, and safety regulations
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other professionals to ensure timely project completion
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with engineering and design requirements
• Analyze and interpret survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and other technical data
• Prepare cost estimates for materials, equipment, and labor, and manage project budgets effectively
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns
• Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental protection standards
• Prepare and submit permit applications to relevant authorities
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve construction-related challenges
• Collaborate with the real estate team on corporate capital projects as needed
• Any other task as required by the management

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent in Kuwait
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on real estate development projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and other relevant software
• Strong knowledge of Kuwait's building codes, safety regulations, and construction standards
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated experience in site planning, infrastructure design, and construction management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Fluency in Arabic and English (both written and spoken)
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Experience with sustainable construction practices and green building certifications
• Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
• Familiarity with the real estate market in Kuwait and the Gulf region
  
  

Language Skills:

• Bilingual candidate with excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic
  
  

Other Requirements:

• Valid Kuwait Driving License
• Transferable Article 18 Visa
