JOB TITLE: Cards Portfolio Manager

TERM: 12 months

CLIENT LOCATION: Kuwait City, Kuwait

DIVISION: Cards

REPORTS TO: Head of Cards Portfolio

RELEVANTEXPERIENCE:5 years in card portfoliomanagement, lifecyclemarketing, or customerengagement roles within thebanking or financial servicessector.

MANDATORYREQUIREMENTS**:

  1. Proven experience in card portfolio performance analysis
  2. Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing (Cards)
  3. Immediately available
  4. English and Arabic is preferred
  5. Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

To enhance customer acquisition, engagement, and retention through targeted, data-informed lifecyclemarketing strategies that optimize card portfolio performance and align with business objectives.

Key Activities

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  1. Analyze debit and credit card portfolio performance across acquisition, activation, usage, and retention metrics.
  2. Identify and recommend targeted campaigns to drive spend, reduce attrition, and increase customer engagement.
  3. Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to design and launch lifecycle campaigns.
  4. Monitor campaign performance and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  5. Conduct competitive benchmarking and market analysis to inform strategy.
  6. Prepare and present regular portfolio performance reports to senior stakeholders.
  7. Ensure compliance with internal risk policies.
  8. Develop and execute multi-channel lifecycle marketing campaigns (email, mobile, digital, direct mail).
  9. Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Risk, Compliance, Legal) to ensure campaign alignment and governance.
  10. Continuously test, measure, and optimize campaign effectiveness using A/B testing and performance analytics.

  1. Increase in card activation and usage rates
  2. Reduction in customer attrition
  3. Campaign ROI and conversion rates
  4. Customer engagement metrics (e.g., open/click rates, spend lift)

Knowledge and Experience

  1. Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or related field
  2. Experience in financial services, preferably in cards or payments
  3. Strong analytical and storytelling skills using data
  4. Understanding of customer segmentation and personalization strategies
  5. Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign)
