Job summary

Black Pen Recruitment seeks an experienced Data Solution Architect to design and implement large-scale Data Platform, BI and Analytics solutions. You will lead the data delivery team, architecting end-to-end Azure data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, pipelines, and analytics workloads.

The role emphasizes hands-on Azure cloud expertise, data modelling, and strong communication. Travel within the UK and abroad may be required, with relocation to Malta and visa support

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years working in a senior role
• Experience designing and implementing Azure Data solutions
• Familiar with Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Be customer-service oriented and able to lead in diverse environments
• Willing to travel across UK and abroad when required
• Graduate-level education in CS or relevant field or professional qualification
• Knowledge of common data models is a plus

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end Azure data platforms including lakes, warehouses, and data lakehouses
• Presales, estimations and proposal writing for data solutions
• Stay updated with new technologies and trends in data
• Collaborate with clients to define data strategy and roadmaps
• Provide mentoring and guidance to team members
• Ensure architecture documentation and standards are followed
• Translate business requirements into reporting and analytics functionality
• Plan delivery and assist in scoping and estimation
