Job description

We are looking for a tech-driven IT professional for the role of AVP – IT who would be responsible for implementation of organization-wide digital transformation and effectively delivering technology solutions that align with the business plan.

AVP-IT will support the development of technical expertise and capabilities encompassing the analysis, implementation, operation and support of IT infrastructure, software solutions and services across the Jazeera network.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, Airline Commercial systems, Software development and project management.
• Enhance operational efficiency by managing the full spectrum of complete IT operations and IT Service Management.
• Assess IT products and software to recommend solutions that align with the organisation’s IT strategy and meet long-term organisational objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders for their IT requirements and ongoing IT projects.
• Manage all airline IT systems including Reservation, Check-in, Load control, Departure Control, Engineering, Flight Operations, Training, among others.
• Ensure implementation of IT Security including information security, data security and network security.
• Ensure compliance & adherence of IT policies, processes and procedures.
• Conduct periodic IT Audits.
• Oversee IT Infrastructure management and ensure round the clock user support.
• Function as a project manager for introduction of new IT solutions & systems including technical evaluation, recommendation, POC (proof of concept) and implementation.
• Manage IT Vendors and IT Services Providers effectively.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent; PMP Certification is an added advantage.
• 15 years or more experience in Information Technology management with atleast 5 years working in an airline.
• Expertise & hands on experience of Airline IT systems.
• Knowledge of Project Management and Vendor Management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Team Management skills
