Job summary

Client of Angel Gulf Jobs in Kuwait City is seeking an experienced Auto Mechanic to diagnose, service, and repair petrol and diesel vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspensions.

You will read service manuals, operate OBD scanners, maintain workshop safety, and produce accurate service records.

The role requires hands-on skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience as an Auto Mechanic.
• ITI/Diploma/Automotive Trade Certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Relevant mechanic certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain cars, vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Perform servicing and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering and cooling systems.
• Identify mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out oil changes, filter replacement, brake servicing and battery checks.
• Inspect vehicles and identify worn or damaged components.
• Repair or replace defective mechanical and electrical parts.
• Perform vehicle testing after repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain service records and follow workshop safety procedures.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose repair and maintain cars vans and light commercial vehicles
• Perform servicing and repairs on engines transmissions brakes suspension steering and cooling systems
• Identify mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
• Carry out oil changes filter replacement brake servicing battery checks and general vehicle maintenance
• Inspect vehicles and identify worn or damaged components
• Repair or replace defective mechanical and electrical parts
• Perform vehicle testing after repairs to ensure proper operation
• Maintain service records and follow workshop safety procedures

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of petrol and diesel vehicle systems
• Experience with engine repair transmission clutch braking suspension and steering systems
• Knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems
• Ability to use OBD diagnostic scanners and automotive testing tools
• Experience with AC systems cooling systems fuel systems and exhaust systems
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical electrical and electronic faults
• Knowledge of wheel alignment balancing and tyre-related maintenance is an advantage
• Ability to read basic vehicle service manuals and technical specifications

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience as an Auto Mechanic.
• ITI/Diploma/Automotive Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Relevant mechanic certification is an advantage.
• Strong hands‑on experience in vehicle servicing and repairs.
• Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team.
• Good attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a workshop environment.
