Catering to Freight forwarding requirements for Alghanim Sahara Trans and its branches. The job holder will be integral part of the operations team providing clear, accurate and insightful business/financial analysis. The job holder will also contribute to business planning, will be included in project work and reporting of all operational activities like KPI, business volumes growth, process changes, etc.
• Oversee processes across divisions and bring efficiency
• Preparing and circulating daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and yearly reports for management.
• Manage and report KPI across all divisions to the head for bringing in efficiency and cost reduction.
• Improvise freight, custom clearance, and delivery flow processes by creating SOP & SLA
• Make report for tender awarding after bidding processes are over on quarterly, half yearly and yearly tenders. Work towards reducing landing cost
• Reporting on freight bookings of shipments regularly to management basis projections given and actual loadings. Business Development & cost reduction presentations.
• Require 2+ years of experience in Freight, Supply Chain and logistics reports and analytics
• A degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or other quantitative field from a reputable university; a strong academic record
• Strong analytical skills; should be capable of identifying and interpreting key business drivers.
• Basic knowledge on working of customs department, shipping lines, freight forwarders is desirable
• Previous experience with Cargowise1 & Tableau is required
• Self-starter, able to work across functions and in teams. Results-driven, with the ability to perform on unstructured assignments
• Positive attitude and flexibility to work in a multicultural environment
• Fluency in English; strong verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced skill in Excel and PowerPoint
• Software programming will be an added advantage
• Solutions provider and quick learner
• Guide and train team members in their day to day work to make work process efficient
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Economics
Engineering in Supply Chain / Logistics or Technology
