Job description

Oversee construction projects of Al-Tijaria and ensure the timely completion of these projects according to specifications. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the project work being performed by contractors.

  1. Oversee and supervise projects and perform field visits/inspections to ensure their timely and cost-effective completion.
  2. Consult with architects, electromechanical engineers, and other technical workers to make sure that project designs and contractor work meet set specifications.
  3. Work with Planning engineers to ensure that projects are on schedule as planned and to notify senior management of any deviations from plan as quickly as possible in accordance with PCD.
  4. Coordinate with Al-Tijaria engineers working with contractors and professional services offices to ensure that suppliers and contractors understand Al-Tijaria project needs, requirements, and standards, and that work is cost-effective and delivered to agreed-upon deadlines and specifications.
  5. Review consultant tender evaluation reports and prepare final evaluation reports for management approval.
  6. Ensure that building regulations, standards, and by-laws are enforced in building construction for Al-Tijaria projects.
  7. Coordinate with other departments regarding information for the projects.
  8. Assist in creating licenses and official project documents.
  9. Conduct weekly follow-up meetings with the project department.
  10. Follow up with government officers to resolve any issues.
  11. Ensure knowledge sharing among the team.
  12. Perform any other tasks assigned by management and support multiple tasks as needed.
  13. Undertake technical and construction cost studies, including property investigations.
