NBK Wealth is recruiting for an Assistant Manager for its Legal team in Kuwait.

Job Summary:

Provide support to the Supervisor in all legal issues including regulatory compliance for all entities based in various jurisdictions. Protect the interest of the company in all the transactions through proper legal review of all the documents. Assist the Supervisor by drafting/vetting legal documents including agreements, undertakings, legal opinions, notices, and other legal documents which are referred to the legal department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate routine legal issues and coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries; provide legal opinion on assigned issues and support Supervisor with research required.
  • Prepare documents required to be filed with regulatory bodies and Government agencies in compliance with law, rules, and regulations. Undertake general administration duties including correspondence, preparation of routine reports and filing thereof as per the practice followed by the Legal Department.
  • Advising the Supervisor on new legislation affecting the company
  • Liaise with the external third-party advisors in respect of compliance.
  • Assist in developing and modifying policies.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Law.
  • 5-6 years of experience in a legal role in the financial services industry.
  • Strong financial services legal/regulatory background.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
  • Good drafting regulatory correspondences skills.
  • Good analytical skills and accuracy.
  • Ability to work across departments. Team player.
  • Strong work ethics and good planning and organizational skills.
