A leading hotel group is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to support the Chief Engineer in managing engineering operations. Are you passionate about maintaining the heart of a hotel – its infrastructure and technical operations? We’re looking for an Assistant Chief Engineer who will support the Chief Engineer in managing the entire engineering operations to ensure our guests enjoy a safe, comfortable, and seamless experience.

A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

Assisting the Chief Engineer in overseeing all engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel.

Supervising daily maintenance activities and ensuring timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.

Leading and training engineering team members, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high service standards.

Coordinating with contractors, vendors, and suppliers for major repairs and projects.

Monitoring energy usage and implementing energy-saving initiatives in line with IHG sustainability goals.

Ensuring full compliance with local laws and safety regulations (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire & life safety systems).

Responding swiftly to any emergencies and resolving guest maintenance issues efficiently.

Preparing maintenance reports, tracking inventory, and supporting budgeting and CAPEX planning.

What we need from you:

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory or assistant leadership role in engineering within a 4 or 5-star hotel.

Strong technical knowledge in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and civil systems.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in Kuwait.

Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.

Relevant technical qualifications/certifications (Diploma/Degree in Engineering preferred).

Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and emergency call-outs.
