Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field.
• Teaching certification or recognized teaching qualification appropriate to the grade level.
• Previous secondary-level Biology teaching experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of advanced Biology content for AP-level instruction.
• Experience delivering laboratory-based and inquiry-driven science instruction.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver AP Biology lessons aligned with College Board requirements and objectives.
• Teach advanced biological concepts including cellular processes, genetics, evolution, ecology, and other AP topics.
• Deliver hands-on laboratory and inquiry-based instruction developing data analysis and experimental design skills.
• Prepare students for the AP Biology examination through rigorous instruction and assessments.
• Incorporate laboratory investigations and scientific inquiry into classroom instruction.
• Differentiate instruction to meet varying student abilities while maintaining AP-level rigor.
• Maintain a safe laboratory environment and proper lab equipment care.
