The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, managing the accounting team, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the business's financial growth through strategic planning and operational improvements.
C. Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
✓ PRIMARY DUTIES
Prepare Financial Statements: Ensure financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets, are accurate and completed on time.
Review Monthly Income Statements: Check income statements monthly to correct errors and ensure accuracy.
Manage the Team: Lead and support the accounting team to ensure efficiency and meet deadlines.
Budgeting and Reporting: Create budgets, track spending, and explain any variances to assist with planning.
Ensure Compliance: Establish policies and procedures to adhere to financial regulations and safeguard the company’s assets.
✓ SECONDARY DUTIES
Improve Systems: Assist in selecting or upgrading accounting software to enhance efficiency.
Work with Auditors: Provide necessary information to auditors and facilitate smooth audit processes.
Update Policies: Develop and refine financial management policies.
Communicate with Teams: Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with business objectives.
Special Projects: Assist with additional tasks such as cost reduction initiatives or assessing the financial viability of new ideas.
E. TYPE OF SKILLS AND/OR LICENSING/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
