Job summary

Holland & Knight LLP in Tampa, FL (or other offices) seeks a Senior Research Analyst to perform advanced legal, corporate and industry research, manage complex requests, and deliver high-quality work product to firm lawyers and clients.

Responsibilities include leading research strategy, prioritizing deadlines, teaching colleagues, and promoting research tools and AI-enabled workflows. Requires MS in LIS, 5+ years of research, and proficiency with Lexis, Westlaw and major databases.

Qualifications

Advanced legal, corporate, and industry research skills with ability to evaluate sources and explain methodology.
Ability to scope, lead, and execute complex, multi-step research requests and communicate findings clearly.
Strong judgement, attention to detail, and proactive information solutions for firm lawyers.

Responsibilities

Scope and respond to complex legal, corporate, and client-related research requests.
Lead research strategy for sophisticated queries.
Evaluate sources and organize information into high-quality work product for lawyers and clients.
Prioritize billable workflow and meet deadlines, communicating as needed.
Provide current awareness and litigation alerting as part of industry and business development initiatives.
Lead group and individual instruction on research techniques and tools.
Train lawyers and professionals on information resources and AI-enabled tools.
Promote research tools through practice groups and teams.
Develop understanding of user needs to improve information access.
Maintain knowledge management records and metadata for research requests and time entry.
Assess resource and technology needs with stakeholders.
Advance workflow improvements using AI, templates, and knowledge creation.
Attend training and education to maintain high-quality service.
