Qualifications
- Degree or certificate in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license.
- X-Ray/Radiology Certification where state regulations specify.
- Local Anesthesia/Nitrous Oxide certification where state regulations specify.
Responsibilities
- Perform hygiene clinical procedures, including oral prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing.
- Educate patients on the importance of oral hygiene.
- Communicate with the doctor regarding opportunities for restorative needs.
- Obtain and review dental history and records.
