• Supervise unlicensed laboratory staff and clinical laboratory scientists in training.
• Coordinate with other clinical laboratory scientists, including coordinators for safety and quality control.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures for specimen processing, perform test procedures, data analysis and reporting test results.
• Perform appropriate QA/QC procedures.
• Operate and maintain equipment and instruments according to manufacturer and Monogram Clinical Reference Lab (MCRL) established procedures, including:
  • Analyse clinical specimens.
  • Calibrate.
  • Preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshooting.

• BS/BA in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory and laboratory training/experience in specialties related to molecular biology, virology, and/or tissue culture.
• Requires current State of California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.
