Job summary
Forestar Group Inc. is seeking a Development Manager-FG to oversee project schedules and ensure adherence to approved development budgets. The role includes assisting with due diligence on prospective projects and coordinating a team of consultants through the construction process.
The Development Manager will manage budgets, lead design and approval processes for project amenities, and interface with local government and utility partners to maintain schedules. Travel is required as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5–7 years of related experience.
- Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency with MS Office and email.
- Regular exposure to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.
Responsibilities
- Assist with due diligence on prospective projects including budgets and schedules.
- Coordinate and direct a team of consultants during construction.
- Create and maintain project schedules and report status.
- Create bid packages, review bids, and advise on awards.
- Interface with government, utilities, and Forestar teams to keep projects on schedule.
