Job summary

NTT DATA seeks a Z2_Java Developer to join the Bangalore team. You will develop and maintain scalable backend services using Spring Boot and Kotlin, and design server-side rendering with Kotlinx HTML DSL and HTMX.

You’ll implement event-based messaging with AWS SQS/SNS and manage data with PostgreSQL and Redis, while contributing to CI/CD and testing strategies. You will collaborate with DevOps, architects, and product owners, applying best practices and mentoring teammates to sustain high

Qualifications

• Experience in backend development with Spring Boot and Kotlin.
• Experience with server-side rendering, HTMX, and Tailwind CSS.
• Practical experience with PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with event-based architectures and messaging systems (AWS SQS/SNS).
• Experience with Azure and ideally AWS.
• Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and Java is advantageous.
• Experience with Datadog or similar monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable backend services with Spring Boot and Kotlin.

• Implement event-based architectures for asynchronous messaging and ensure high availability and scalability.

• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and IaC with Terraform.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Implement thorough tests: unit, ArchUnit, Approval Tests, and Playwright end-to-end tests.
• Monitor applications with Datadog and analyze logs.
• Collaborate closely with DevOps, architects, and product owners to share ideas and best practices.

Qualifications

• You have sound experience in backend development with Spring Boot and Kotlin
• You bring experience with server-side rendering, HTMX, and Tailwind CSS
• You have practical experience with PostgreSQL
• You are familiar with event-based architectures and messaging systems (e.g., AWS SQS/SNS)
• You have experience with Azure and ideally with AWS
• You are proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions
• Ideally, you have experience with various testing frameworks: JUnit, ArchUnit, Approval Tests, and Playwright
• Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and Java is an advantage
• You are familiar with Datadog or similar monitoring tools
• You can communicate technical concepts clearly and enjoy working in a team
• You approach challenges with a positive attitude and find creative solutions
• You take responsibility for your work and are willing to continuously develop
• Very good written and spoken English skills complete your profile
