Job summary

Summit Consulting Services seeks an experienced professional to bridge Yardi Voyager administration with core accounting operations. You will lead project-based initiatives to optimize financial workflows, automate processes, and ensure data integrity across the Yardi Voyager platform.

The role reports to the Manager of Financial Systems and collaborates with Accounting, Operations, and IT teams to implement solutions, test upgrades, and support month-end close.

Responsibilities

Job description

This role bridges technical Yardi administration with accounting operations, leading project-based initiatives to optimize financial workflows, automate processes, and ensure data integrity across the Yardi Voyager platform. This position reports directly to the Manager of Financial Systems and works collaboratively with Accounting, Operations, and IT teams across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accounting Systems & Project Management

• Lead end-to-end accounting project initiatives within Yardi Voyager, including scoping, planning, execution, and post-implementation review
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional stakeholder communication for Yardi-related accounting projects
• Evaluate current accounting business processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop solutions within Yardi Voyager to improve outcomes
• Serve as liaison between the Accounting team and IT on implementing automated accounting processes and system integrations
• Monitor competing project priorities and resources, ensuring timely and accurate completion of deliverables

Yardi Voyager Administration & Technical Support

• Serve as an accounting-level Yardi Voyager administrator, including Residential Voyager 7s, PayScan, and ancillary modules
• Provide technical assistance and Yardi support issue resolution for accounting team members
• Evaluate and test system upgrades, patches, and new Yardi modules; develop and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) plans
• Collaborate with IT and Operational Yardi leads on escalation of issues to Yardi, including direct communication with Yardi for case resolution
• Carry out periodic system validation and permission checks within Yardi Voyager
• Create and maintain custom financial reports and dynamic documents using YSR, Custom Financial Analytics, and Correspondence tools
• Optimize report scheduling and task automation to support the accounting department's operational cadence
• Ensure financial reporting accuracy within Yardi Voyager; research and resolve items affecting financial activity
• Perform data analysis to troubleshoot accounting and operational performance issues within Yardi
• Import large volumes of data (journal entries, transactions) into Yardi Voyager, supporting month-end close and major transactions such as acquisitions and debt financing
• Generate quarterly audit files and support ETL processes and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Multi-family or Single-family residential real estate industry experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of SQL and Yardi reporting/scheduling tools, including YSR, Correspondence, Notifications, and Task Runner
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and property accounting workflows
• Proven ability to manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance across competing priorities
• Exceptional analytical, conceptual thinking, and process improvement skills
• Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail with a passion for learning new technology and developing innovative solutions
• Collaborative team player who takes initiative and communicates effectively with cross-functional teams and management
