Job summary

Gokula Education Foundation is seeking a Radiographer to operate advanced imaging equipment including CR/DR systems and mammography units. You will document patient demographics in HIS/RIS/CR/DR, ensure high-quality images, and perform routine calibrations.

The role requires strict adherence to SOPs, strong collaboration with clinical staff, and active participation in process improvements to enhance patient safety and diagnostic accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Handling of imaging equipment across Computed Radiography, Digital Radiography, Mammography, and C-arm procedures.
• Document patient demographics in HIS, RIS, CR, DR systems.
• Capture high-quality radiographs per SOP and assess for diagnostic usefulness.
• Perform calibrations and checks on IITV, Mammography, C-arm units; track due dates.
• Monitor AC temperature in main rooms and document readings.
• Disinfect x-ray tables and accessories after each procedure.
• Monitor patients during procedures and notify consultants of any abnormal findings.
• Coordinate with clinical/non-clinical staff to ensure patient safety and smooth workflow.
• Conduct daily quality checks and calibrations of X-Ray units before procedures.
• Maintain stock of laser films and manage CR console/workstation space.
• Participate in continuous process improvement to add value to department and organization.

Job description

Job roles and responsibilities:

• Handling of sophisticated imaging equipment -Computed Radiography, Digital Radiography, Mammography, O.T & Gastro C’-arm special procedures & its applications.
• All patient’s demographic details to be documented in HIS, RIS, CR, DR system maintained.
• Perform good quality Radiographic images as per SOP standards / protocol and check the images to determine if the images captured are excellent for diagnostic purpose.
• Check the IITV, 600 MA, Mammography, Mobile units, ‘C’-arm units slice & CR imagers calibrations & PMS performed date and due dates Etc.,
• Check the AC temperature in 600 MA main room & documentation.
• Disinfect the X-Ray tables and accessories after justifying & checking for each procedure.
• Continuous Monitoring of patient during Radiographic procedures – report abnormal or critical intimation to concern referred consultant immediately and document.
• Good coordination with clinical and non-clinical staff as when require and to follow the process for assisting the patient safety.
• Daily performance of quality checkup & calibrations of the X-Ray units before taking the patient for Radiographic procedures.
• Daily stock checking of the laser films in the printer.
• Check the dick space level in CR console and Work station and delete and maintain the space ( should be deleted).
• You will actively participate in continuous process improvement initiatives aimed at adding value to both the department and the organization
