Job summary

Socomec Group in Haryana, India, is seeking a capable Manufacturing Engineering leader to drive process design, automation, and new product introduction on the shop floor.

You will coach manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and technical teams, own the manufacturing roadmap, and lead cost optimization, asset utilization, and continuous improvement programs. This role partners with PLM, Quality, and Supply Chain to deliver operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety culture and safe working practices, with goal of zero accidents.
• Lead, coach, and develop the manufacturing engineering team to strengthen capability and growth.
• Define the manufacturing roadmap with focus on new product introduction, design, and automation.
• Lead and develop engineering, maintenance, and technical teams to deliver operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards to maintain a safe, environmentally responsible workplace.
• Partner with PLM, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless product and process transitions.
• Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives to boost productivity and reduce waste.
• Own the manufacturing engineering budget (CAPEX/OPEX) to optimize resources and cost control.
• Maintain and consolidate quarterly and annual product costing in ERP with clear insights.
• Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate new technologies, materials, and equipment to reduce costs.
• Develop and lead maintenance strategy to maximize reliability, availability, and asset utilization.
• Implement preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
• Build ROI analyses for capital investments and automation projects.
• Lead cost-reduction initiatives through process optimization and localization.
• Manage costing updates in ERP and provide management with profitability analysis.

• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate new technologies, materials, and equipment that improve processes and reduce costs.
• Develop and lead the maintenance strategy to maximize equipment reliability, availability, and asset utilization.
• Implement preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve asset performance.
• Build robust business cases and ROI analyses for capital investments, automation projects, and facility upgrades.
• Lead cost-reduction initiatives through process optimization, localization, design improvements, and productivity gains.
• Manage quarterly and annual product costing updates in the ERP system and provide management with detailed financial and profitability analysis.
