Job summary

RTX in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced QA Test Engineer to contribute to Workday testing initiatives. You will design and execute tests for Workday HR modules and coordinate with global QA teams to ensure high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of QA experience with Workday testing.

• Experience in Workday Release testing.
• Familiarity with the software development life cycle for HR solutions.
• Proficient in Jira, Quality Center, Kainos and Selenium.
• Experience in HR/Payroll domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Engineer demonstrates functional and Integration knowledge of Workday Testing.
• Identify, implement and automate test cases using Workday Kainos testing tool.
• Test Engineer has ability to analyze project requirements, prepare test plan, document test cases, test cases execution and defects in Jira.
• Ability to work on testing tasks for multiple Workday workstreams as well as multiple projects.
• Partner with QA team in identifying opportunities and improvements, Participate in QA testing processes improvements.
• Ability to create QA test cases template, checklists, standard works in Jira for frequent testing tasks.
• Ability to communicate for QA testing and other tasks with teams within organization.
• Participate in daily projects stand up meetings and report testing progress, work stoppers, defects and keep Jira up to date.
• Comply Data privacy and Data security during testing processes.
• Ability to work primarily remotely with occasional travel.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Typically, a minimum of 6+ years of Quality Assurance experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of related work experience. Advanced degree and 4+ years related work experience.
• Experience with testing Workday functional areas like HCM, Recruiting, Core Compensation, Talent and Performance, Time‑Off, Leave of Absence, Learning, Security etc.
• Experience in Workday Release testing.
• Experience in the software development life cycle including Requirements, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of Workday HR solutions and custom applications.
• Experienced in designing, developing, testing, implementing and proficient in Testing Tools (e.g., Jira, Quality Center, Kainos, Selenium)
• Experience in HR / Payroll domain.
• Education: Typically, a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline.

This position is classified as

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
• Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
• Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.
• For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management.

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
