Job summary

Fyerx is seeking an experienced Workday Integration Engineer to design, build, and optimize secure, high-volume data pipelines linking Workday with third-party networks, benefits providers, and payroll engines using Workday Studio, EIBs, and Core Connectors.

The role emphasizes building complex data transformations, exposing endpoints via WWS, REST, SOAP, and RaaS, and ensuring robust data security with PGP and secure file delivery. Remote, offshore engagement with international client teams.

Qualifications

• 4 to 8 years of middleware/enterprise integration engineering experience, with 4+ dedicated years writing custom data transformations inside Workday.
• Strong mastery of Workday Studio development tools, XSLT processing engines, XML/JSON parsing, and calculated fields.
• Deep understanding of synchronous vs. asynchronous web service calls, API governance, and object relationship mapping.
• Mandatory certification: Workday Certified Integration Utilities OR Workday Certified Integration Studio.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy complex Workday integrations using Workday Studio, custom transformations, and multi-step assemblies.
• Build out-of-the-box data pipelines using EIBs, Core Connectors, CC for Benefits, and CC for Third-Party Payroll.
• Write custom data transformation mappings using XSLT, XPath, MVEL, and Java within integration assemblies.
• Expose and consume programmatic endpoints with Workday Web Services, REST APIs, SOAP, and RaaS templates.
• Apply data security standardizations with PGP, certificates, and secure SFTP routing.
• Diagnose and optimize integration performance bottlenecks and handle timeouts and throttling.
• Lead update regression validations for semi-annual platform releases across sandboxes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy complex integrations using Workday Studio, custom transformations, and multi-step assembly components.
• Build out-of-the-box data pipelines using Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs), Core Connectors, Cloud Connect for Benefits (CCB), and Cloud Connect for Third-Party Payroll (CCPP).
• Write custom data transformation mappings utilizing XSLT, XPath, MVEL, and Java within integration assemblies to translate disparate payload structures.
• Expose and consume programmatic endpoints, constructing custom data serialization loops using Workday Web Services (WWS), REST APIs, SOAP, and custom RaaS (Report-as-a-Service) templates.
• Apply strict data security standardizations, configuring custom PGP encryption blocks, digital certificate authentications, and secure SFTP file delivery routing.
• Diagnose and optimize integration performance bottlenecks, addressing processing time-outs, high-volume document parsing blocks, and Web Service call throttling limits.
• Lead update regression validations for semi-annual platform releases, testing complex integration code paths across developer sandboxes to prevent deployment breakage.

Requirements

• 4 to 8 years of core middleware or enterprise integration engineering experience, with 4+ dedicated years actively writing custom technical data transformations inside the Workday ecosystem.
• Strong technical mastery of Workday Studio development tools, advanced XSLT processing engines, XML/JSON parsing, and calculated fields.
• Deep structural understanding of synchronous vs. asynchronous web service calls, API governance limits, and object relationship mapping conventions.
• Mandatory certification: Workday Certified Integration Utilities OR Workday Certified Integration Studio.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience managing large-scale system migration data loading tracks using advanced loading utilities or custom API loading loops.
• Familiarity with third-party external cloud integration brokers like MuleSoft , Boomi , or AWS event-driven frameworks interacting directly with Workday endpoints.
