Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) in Bengaluru seeks a senior Workday Service Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join the People Engineering team. • Understanding of Workday integrations and reporting.
• Experience with Workday releases and change management processes.
• Ability to handle own projects through all stages.

Responsibilities

• Partner with People Functions teams to gather and analyse requirements for security configurations.
• Assess existing security architecture and deliver expert recommendations to ensure robust, scalable, and compliant solutions.
• Partner with internal teams and external vendors (when required) to support defining scope, requirements, timelines, and work you're doing.
• Build sustainable, efficient, and easy to follow setup, solutions in Workday – predominantly in the security architecture, cross function services and authentication.
• Partner, Collaborate in ensuring end-to-end test planning, execution, and coordination.
• Collaborate with multi-functional partners to drive comprehensive testing strategies and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Support training, testing, and user adoption activities to ensure successful rollout and sustainability.

Role profile

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workday Service Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our People Engineering team. This role will partner closely with People Operations, People Engineering, and external vendors to ensure the reliability, scalability, performance, and operational excellence of our Workday platform. The successful candidate will serve as a technical expert responsible for driving service reliability, operational monitoring, incident management, mass data management, automation, and continuous improvement across the Workday ecosystem. This role combines strong Workday functional and technical expertise with a focus on reducing operational risk,maintaining data integrity, and delivering a seamless user experience.

Service Reliability & Operations

Establish and maintain operational standards, service health monitoring, and support frameworks. Drive proactive identification and resolution of system issues before they impact business operations. Analyze recurring incidents and implement sustainable fixes to improve platform stability.

Incident & Problem Management

Lead investigation and resolution of complex production issues across Workday modules and integrations. Perform root cause analysis for major incidents and drive corrective and preventive actions. Partner with Workday, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve critical service interruptions. Continuously improve incident response processes and operational readiness.

Mass Data Management & Data Operations

Partner, Collaborate to effectively plan, manages the large-scale data management activities, including worker data updates, organizational changes, restructures, acquisitions, and data remediation initiatives. Design and implement mass data loads and updates using Workday EIBs and other approved data management tools. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance through validation, reconciliation, and audit controls. Partner with business collaborators to plan and implement high-volume data changes with minimal operational impact. Find opportunities to streamline and automate recurring data administration activities.

Governance & Compliance

Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Maintain documentation for system configurations, integrations, and processes.

Testing & Release Management

Partner, Collaborate in managing the testing workstream for Workday releases, enhancements, and configuration changes. Coordinate end-to-end testing activities with business and technical collaborators. Ensure changes are thoroughly validated prior to deployment. Support change management processes to minimize operational risk.
