Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a Senior Workday Systems Engineer to design secure, scalable Workday solutions and partner with People, Procurement, and Technology teams.

You will own security architecture, authentication, and multi-functional processes while guiding workshops, driving platform improvements, and mentoring teammates to establish standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years designing, configuring, and supporting Workday solutions in a sophisticated environment.
• Strong understanding of Workday Security, security architecture, authentication, and access management concepts.
• Experience with Workday processes, reporting, and integrations.
• Familiarity with Workday authentication technologies (SSO, OAuth).
• Workday certifications in relevant functional or technical areas preferred.
• Experience with Agile delivery practices.

Senior Workday Systems Engineer

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Workday Systems Engineer with 6+ years of relevant experience to join our People Engineering team.

In this role, you'll help shape how employees interact with and experience Workday by designing secure, scalable, and efficient solutions across security architecture, authentication, and multi-functional processes.

You'll partner with teams across People, Procurement, Technology, and other business functions to tackle sophisticated challenges, improve user experiences, and support the continued evolution of our Workday platform. What You'll Do

Design and Deliver Solutions

• Own the design, configuration, and enhancement of Workday solutions, with a focus on security architecture, authentication, and multi-functional services.
• Translate business needs into practical, scalable solutions that deliver measurable value.
• Find opportunities to simplify processes, improve user experiences, and increase operational efficiency.
• Support Workday feature adoption, releases, and continuous platform improvements.Partner Across Teams

• Collaborate with customers, technical teams, and external partners to understand requirements and develop effective solutions.
• Facilitate workshops and solution discussions that bring varied perspectives together.
• Build strong relationships across functions to drive alignment and successful outcomes.
• Communicate technical concepts in ways that are accessible and actionable for different audiences.

Strengthen Security and Governance

• Design and maintain secure access and authentication frameworks, including SSO and OAuth solutions.
• Support data privacy, system integrity, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Promote standard processes for security, governance, and risk management across the Workday landscape.
• Maintain clear and sustainable documentation for configurations and processes.

Drive Operational Excellence

• Solve and resolve sophisticated Workday issues finding opportunitiesnities to reduce recurring support needs.
• Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements that improve reliability and efficiency.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by sharing knowledge, guidelines, and lessons learned.

Support Team Growth

• Mentor and support colleagues through knowledge sharing, coaching, and collaboration.
• Contribute to an inclusive team environment where people can learn, develop, and do their best work.
• Help establish technical standards and scalable approaches that benefit the broader organization.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• 6 + years of experience designing, configuring, and supporting Workday solutions in a sophisticated environment.
• Strong understanding of Workday Security, security architecture, authentication, and access management concepts.
• Experience working with Workday business processes and multi-functional solutions.
• Familiarity with Workday reporting and integrations.
• Experience delivering projects, enhancements, or entrepreneurial initiatives from planning through implementation.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer partnership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Workday authentication technologies, including SSO and OAuth.
• Workday certifications in relevant functional or technical areas.
• Experience with Workday Extend.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and tools such as ServiceNow or Asana.
