Job summary

Pure Storage, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Workday Subject Matter Expert and Technical Strategist for its HR Technology team.

You will drive the evolution of our global HRIS ecosystem, lead configurations across Workday Core HCM and Time & Absence, and translate complex rules into automated workflows. You will collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT leaders to evaluate trade-offs, implement scalable solutions, and deliver insights via automation, dashboards, and robust governance across ServiceNow

Qualifications

• Mastery in designing, configuring, and maintaining Workday environments with focus on time tracking, absence plans, eligibility rules, business processes, and calculated fields.
• Proven ability to manage multi-system workflows and integrations within an Agile framework using ServiceNow HRSD for case management and SLAs alongside Jira/Confluence for tracking.
• Ability to independently evaluate complex business requirements and make sound technical recommendations for scalable outcomes.

• Lead Release Management & Knowledge Empowerment: Evaluate and rollout semi-annual Workday feature releases with thorough documentation and user enablement.

THE ROLE

Serve as a critical technical strategist and Workday subject matter expert on the Everpure HR Technology team, driving the evolution and optimization of our global HRIS ecosystem. You will spearhead system configurations and architectural solutions across Workday Core HCM and Time & Absence, translating complex international business rules into seamless, automated workflows. Partnering directly with senior leaders across HR, Payroll, and IT, you will evaluate technology trade-offs—recommending full-stack development, ServiceNow integrations, or alternative vendor capabilities to solve intricate operational challenges. In this high-impact position, your ownership directly elevates our employee experience and ensures scalable execution across our expanding global workforce.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Drive Global Time & Absence Excellence: Own the end-to-end design, configuration, and continuous enhancement of Workday Time & Absence (including accruals, eligibility rules, and time tracking) to ensure precise operational compliance and streamlined workforce management.
• Architect Scalable HR Technology Solutions: Translate complex global business rules and regulatory changes into robust Workday Core HCM configurations, calculated fields, and business processes while evaluating alternative vendor or custom full-stack solutions when system constraints arise.
• Deliver Actionable Insights & Automation: Eliminate manual operational friction by automating business workflows and building advanced reports, condition rules, and real-time executive dashboards that empower data-driven HR leadership decisions.
• Cross-Functional Integration & Platform Governance: Partner with Payroll, IT, and HR Operations to ensure flawless data flow across the Everpure Platform, optimizing case management intake, triaging protocols, and SLA adherence via the ServiceNow HRSD platform and Jira.
• Lead Release Management & Knowledge Empowerment: Direct the evaluation and rollout of semi-annual Workday feature releases across core modules, delivering structured technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and targeted user enablement.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Deep Workday Core HCM & Time/Absence Expertise: Mastery in designing, configuring, and maintaining complex Workday environments, with focused expertise in time tracking, absence plans, eligibility rules, business process frameworks, and calculated fields.
• HR Ecosystem & Agile Tools Proficiency: Proven ability to manage multi-system workflows and integrations within an Agile framework, leveraging platforms like ServiceNow HRSD for case management and SLAs alongside Jira and Confluence for technical tracking.
• Analytical Problem-Solving & Technical Judgment: Ability to independently evaluate complex business requirements, assess native software capabilities against custom full-stack alternatives, and make sound technical recommendations for scalable outcomes.
• Cross-Functional Stakeholder Collaboration: Strong communication and alignment skills, with a track record of partnering seamlessly with global HR, Payroll, and IT leadership to deliver complex cross-functional initiatives, including availability to align with global time zones (such as US business hours) when needed.

Location Expectation

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bangalore office in compliance with Everpure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
