We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Workato Integration Engineer to join our growing integration and automation team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on expertise in Workato integration development, API management, enterprise application integrations, and workflow automation.
In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, clients, and technical teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable integration solutions that enable seamless connectivity across cloud and on‑premise systems.
You will play a key role in driving automation initiatives, optimizing integration performance, and implementing best practices for enterprise‑grade integration architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Development & Automation
- Design, develop, configure, test, and deploy integration solutions using Workato
- Build scalable and reusable recipes for enterprise automation workflows
- Develop callable recipes and optimize existing integration processes
- Configure and manage third‑party connectors and APIs
- Implement integrations across cloud and on‑premise applications
Solution Design & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical integration solutions
- Conduct integration workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and field mapping discussions
- Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, and application teams to deliver business‑driven integrations
- Create innovative client solutions and identify new automation use cases
API & Data Management
- Work with REST, SOAP, WSDL, OAuth, and WS‑Security protocols
- Manage API integrations and API platform configurations
- Perform complex data transformations using JSON, XML, SQL, JDBC, Groovy, and Java scripting
- Ensure data consistency, reliability, and integration performance optimization
Workato Platform Management
- Manage Workato workspaces, environments, collections, and governance protocols
- Handle Recipe Lifecycle Management (RLM) and RecipeOps activities
- Configure audit logging, team management, and access controls
- Work with Workbots including Slack Workbot integrations
Testing, Deployment & Support
- Drive integration testing, deployment, and post‑production support activities
- Troubleshoot integration issues and implement performance improvements
- Ensure adherence to integration best practices, security standards, and governance policies
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
Experience
- 4–7 years of experience in Application‑to‑Application (A2A) and B2B integrations
- Strong hands‑on experience with Workato platform and enterprise integrations
