Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Work Placement & Migration Lead for its Global Shared Services Centre to strategically manage the placement and migration of work across locations. The role focuses on aligning service delivery models with operational efficiency and established standards.

You will apply placement principles, develop optimization strategies, monitor compliance, and lead migrations per the service catalogue while balancing priorities and stakeholder needs.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years in Transition Management, Migrations and Project Management.
• Experience leading large transition projects (150 FTE or more).
• Certified Prince2 Practitioner or PMP is a must, LEAN Six Sigma preferred.
• Experience in a global business environment with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent English communication, presentation and MS Office skills.

The Work Placement & Migration Lead is responsible for strategically managing the placement and migration of work across Global Shared Services Centre (GSC) locations, ensuring alignment with service delivery models, operational efficiency, and compliance with established principles and standards

Key responsibilities:

• Apply and enforce work placement principles consistently across all GSC locations to ensure strategic alignment and operational efficiency.
• Develop and execute location and site optimization strategies that support business needs and service delivery models.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to monitor and report compliance with work placement standards and decisions.
• Lead the migration of work based on the service catalogue, maintaining consistency, recording exceptions, and reducing fragmentation.
• Make informed decisions on work placement within the GSC, balancing strategic priorities, capabilities, and compliance requirements.

Required qualification, experience & skills

• 7-10 years relevant experience in in Transition Management, Migrations & Project Management
• Experience in leading Large Transition Projects (150 FTE or more)
• Strong project management skills and experience in managing complex and dynamic Transition projects
• Certified Prince2 Practitioner/ PMP is a must. Additional LEAN Six Sigma is preferred
• Experience working in a global business environment
• Excellent in stakeholder management & a good team player
• Comfortable when dealing with senior management and being part of tough discussions
• Passionate about driving customer experience and client centricity
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and communication skills
• Excellent Presentation skills and overall expertise in MS Office Suite - especially MS Excel and Power point
• Ability to multi-task, manage several projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment and manage challenge
