Hi-Tech Systems & Services Ltd in Kolkata is seeking a WordPress Developer & UI Designer with 3+ years of experience to join our Marketing team onsite. You will design and develop WordPress-based websites, implement UI/UX designs, and optimize site performance and SEO.

The role covers Wordpress development, theme customization, plugin management, and collaboration with marketing to improve engagement and conversions. Onsite position based in Kolkata with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of WordPress development and web designing experience.
• Strong command over Elementor Page Builder and WordPress CMS.
• Frontend skills: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap.
• PHP & MySQL knowledge for backend customization.
• Experience customizing plugins and WordPress issues.
• Proficiency in design tools like Figma (primary), Photoshop & Canva.
• Familiarity with Core Web Vitals and site speed optimization.
• Knowledge of cPanel, DNS, SSL, and .htaccess configurations.
• Experience using on-page SEO plugins like Yoast SEO, Rank Math.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new web pages using WordPress Bakery or Elementor page builder.
• Develop responsive designs and layouts per business requirements.
• Publish and manage blogs with formatting, images, and categories.
• Manage WordPress plugins: install, configure, customize, troubleshoot.
• Perform regular technical audits and optimization with plugins like WP Rocket, Nitropack, Yoast/Rank Math.
• Optimize speed, mobile responsiveness and performance with caching and tools.
• Maintain security, backups, updates and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with digital marketing and content teams for SEO and engagement.
• Publish and manage blogs and category management.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and experienced WordPress Developer & UI Designer with 3+ years of experience in website design, WordPress development, and UI/UX implementation to join our team at Hi-Tech Systems & Services Ltd, Kolkata. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in creating visually appealing, responsive, and SEO friendly websites while also handling website performance optimization.

WordPress Development Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new web pages using WordPress Bakery or Elementor page builder.
• Develop responsive designs and website layouts that are visually appealing, implementing them as per business requirements.
• Publishing and managing website blogs including content formatting, image optimization, and category management.
• Managing WordPress plugins including installation, configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
• Performing regular website technical audit and optimization using plugins such as WPRocket, Nitropack, WPoptimize Yoast SEO and Rank Math.
• Optimizing website speed, mobile responsiveness and performance using caching, image compression, GTmetrix, and Google PageSpeed Insights.
• Maintaining website security, backups, updates, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborating with digital marketing and content teams to improve website engagement and SEO performance.
• Publishing and managing website blogs including formatting, image optimization, and category management.

UI Design Responsibilities:

• Design web pages and landing pages layouts in Figma before they go into development
• Create responsive email templates and newsletters for marketing campaigns
• Convert approved design mockups into clean, functional web layouts
• Maintain visual consistency across the website and other digital touchpoints
• Work alongside the content team, SEO team, and digital marketers to make sure designs serve both UX and conversion goals

Must Have Skills

• Any graduate with 3+ years of experience in WordPress development and web designing
• Strong command over Elementor Page Builder and WordPress CMS
• Solid frontend skills: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
• PHP and MySQL knowledge for backend customization and database integration
• Experience in plugin customization and resolving WordPress-specific issues
• Proficiency in design tools like Figma (primary), Photoshop & Canva
• Familiarity with website speed optimization and Core Web Vitals improvement
• Working knowledge of cPanel, DNS, SSL, and .htaccess configurations
• Experience using seo optimization plugins like Yoast SEO, Rank Math etc for onpage SEO implementation

Good to Have

• Experience managing WooCommerce websites
• Basic understanding of React.js or similar frontend frameworks
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager, or Microsoft Clarity
• Understanding of branding principles and digital marketing concepts
• Experience in designing conversion based landing pages, lead gen forms, CTAs
