Job summary

Wesco seeks an experienced WMX Technical Architect to lead architecture, design, integration, and technology strategy for the WMX platform. The role focuses on scalable, secure warehouse solutions and digital transformation across distribution and supply chain operations.

The ideal candidate brings deep WMS expertise, enterprise architecture, and Java-based technology leadership, with cloud experience (Azure/AWS), DevOps, and modern cloud-native patterns to drive enterprise-scale implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years IT experience with at least 3 years in a Technical Architect/Lead Architect role.
• Strong experience implementing, supporting, and extending Warehouse Management Systems.
• Deep understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, fulfilment, logistics, and supply chain processes.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale application and integration architectures.
• 8+ years hands‑on Java/J2EE development experience.
• Expert knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA, RESTful APIs.
• Distributed systems design with scalable, mission-critical enterprise apps.
• Good knowledge of design patterns, OO design, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with asynchronous processing, event-driven architectures, and messaging technologies.
• API Design & Management; Middleware platforms.
• Experience integrating WMS/WMX with ERP/OMS/TMS and external partners.
• Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS; Docker; DevOps; cloud-native patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, integration, and technology strategy for WMX platform.
• Drive scalable, secure, high-performing warehouse solutions for distribution and supply chain operations.
• Provide technical leadership across product development, integrations, cloud transformation, and operations.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to align goals and delivery.

The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in Warehouse Management Systems, enterprise application architecture, and modern Java-based technologies. This individual will provide technical leadership across product development, integrations, cloud transformation initiatives, and operational support while partnering closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams.

Required Qualifications
