Role Overview
The Lead Software Engineer (WMOS – Java) will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting highly scalable warehouse management solutions that support Williams‑Sonoma’s global supply chain. This role is hands‑on and technical, requiring strong Java development expertise, deep understanding of Manhattan Associates WMOS, and the ability to lead complex integrations and production‑grade systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and extensions supporting Manhattan WMOS
- Lead technical design and implementation of WMOS integrations with enterprise systems such as ERP, MHE, and ProShip
- Develop and maintain microservices and APIs supporting warehouse and fulfillment operations
- Write and optimize PL/SQL code to support WMOS data processing and integrations
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues by analyzing WMOS logs and system behavior in Linux/Unix environments
- Ensure performance, scalability, security, and reliability of WMOS-related applications
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering, operations, and support teams
- Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring for development team members
- Support system upgrades, deployments, and release activities
- Drive adherence to coding standards, best practices, and SDLC processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 12+ years of experience in software development with strong Java expertise
- Hands‑on experience developing and supporting Manhattan Associates WMOS
- Strong Java/J2EE development experience
- Proficiency in PL/SQL and relational database concepts
- Good understanding or working knowledge of microservices architecture
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management processes including inventory, order fulfillment, and pick‑pack‑ship
- Experience with MHE integration and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of ProShip integration is a plus
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments with ability to analyze WMOS logs
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills
