Job summary

Everest Tooling And Indestry in Ambattur, Chennai is seeking a skilled Wirecut and EDM Operator to join our Toolroom team. You will operate Wirecut EDM and Sinker EDM machines to deliver precision tool and die components.

The role requires 12 years of EDM experience, basic machining knowledge, and the ability to read drawings. We offer on-site work with training, accommodation and meals provided, plus ESI benefits.

Qualifications

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Tool & Die or related field.
• 12 years of experience in Wirecut EDM, Sinker EDM, or precision machining.
• Ability to read technical drawings (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Wirecut EDM & Sinker EDM machines for precision machining.
• Assist toolmakers and engineers in tool, die, and component fabrication.
• Learn and support operation of conventional and CNC machines (lathe, milling, surface grinder).
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Carry out calibration, inspection, and maintenance of precision measuring instruments.
• Monitor machining processes, adjust parameters, and ensure tight tolerances.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and equipment upkeep in the toolroom.
• Document tooling modifications, production logs, and maintenance activities.

The role involves operating Wirecut EDM and Sinker EDM machines, supporting toolmakers, and ensuring precision machining for tool and die manufacturing. Candidates with hands-on experience in EDM operations and basic machining knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
