Job summary

Wipro Limited is seeking a Windows Server Administrator with 3–5 years of experience to manage Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and Citrix environments. The role focuses on incident resolution, server maintenance, backups, and coordination of upgrades across regions.

The candidate should have strong AD skills, Windows Server expertise, and basic networking knowledge to support enterprise IT operations.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Active Directory including GPOs, domain/forest upgrades, and LDAP integration.
• Strong Windows Server administration including backups, patching, and server monitoring.
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP) and virtualization platforms.

Responsibilities

• Resolve priority incident tickets and service requests related to AD, servers, and infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows servers and associated hardware/firmware.
• Manage domain controllers, replication, and operations master roles; monitor backups.
• Coordinate upgrades and new technology deployments with regional IT teams and procurement.
• Participate in patch management and security policy enforcement for Windows servers.

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to resolve priority incident tickets and service requests while contributing to incident analysis, change request preparation, and continuous service improvement.

• Advanced Active Directory skills including GPOs, building, and upgrading domains, forests, RODC server core, site topology, domain & trust, LDAP integration with apps, security/delegation control, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Schema update and certificate trust.
• Adding and removing domain controllers.
• Managing and monitoring replication.
• Ensuring the proper assignment and configuration of operations master roles.
• Performing regular backups of the directory database.
• Configuring forest‑wide Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) settings.
• Managing domain and domain controller security policies.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft servers.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot standard hardware and firmware (currently IBM)
• Provide support for server backup & monitoring.
• Provide support for File/Print/Anti-virus servers.
• Coordinate with business units and IT staff in regions proposals for upgrade and or implementation of new technologies/services as well as procurement of hardware and software
• Participate in patch management for Windows servers.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory Management including user management, GPOs, building and upgrading domains & forests.
• In‑depth knowledge of Windows OS internals, registries, permissions
• Familiarity with performance analysis using performance monitoring.
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking and protocols (DNS, ICMP, SMB, SSL/TLS, etc.)
