Job summary

L&T Technology Services in Bengaluru is seeking a Windows Driver Developer to design, implement, and optimize Windows kernel-mode and user-mode drivers. You will work with KMDF, UMDF, and WDM, covering PCIe, USB, storage, network, and I/O drivers, and contribute to driver bring-up and validation across hardware and firmware teams.

You will analyze crash dumps with WinDbg, implement and validate PnP and Power Management features, and support production releases while collaborating across OS,

Qualifications

• Strong programming in C/C++ and Windows driver development.
• Deep understanding of Windows kernel internals and driver lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with KMDF, UMDF, and WDM frameworks.
• Knowledge of PnP framework and Power Management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Windows kernel-mode and user-mode device drivers.
• Develop drivers using KMDF, UMDF, and WDM frameworks.
• Work on PCIe, USB, storage, network, graphics, and I/O drivers.
• Debug and resolve kernel issues including BSODs, memory corruption, deadlocks, race conditions, and performance bottlenecks.
• Analyze crash dumps and kernel traces using WinDbg and validate PnP and Power Management features and hardware interaction.

• Design, develop, and maintain Windows Kernel-Mode and User-Mode Device Drivers.
• Develop drivers using KMDF, UMDF, and WDM frameworks.
• Work on PCIe, USB, Storage, Network, Graphics, and I/O Drivers.
• Perform driver bring-up and enablement for new hardware platforms.
• Debug and resolve complex kernel issues including:
• BSOD (Bug Checks)
• Memory Corruption
• Deadlocks
• Race Conditions
• Performance Bottlenecks
• Analyze crash dumps and kernel traces using WinDbg.
• Implement and validate PnP (Plug and Play) and Power Management features.
• Develop solutions involving interrupts, DMA, and hardware-software interaction.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, validation, and system architecture teams.
• Support driver certification, validation, and production releases.
• Conduct root cause analysis across OS, firmware, and hardware layers.
