Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Windchill Migration Lead to drive complex enterprise migrations from planning to production. You will define data mappings, transformations, and validation strategies, using Windchill APIs, WRS, and ETL frameworks to ensure accurate, compliant data movement.

The role requires 8+ years IT experience with 4+ years hands-on Windchill PLM, strong Java skills, and experience with Oracle/MS SQL.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall IT experience with hands-on Windchill PLM.
• Strong experience leading enterprise-scale Windchill migration and upgrade programs.
• Deep understanding of Windchill Data Model, WTPart, EPMDocument, Change Management, BOMs, Lifecycle, Workflow, and Classification.
• Hands-on experience with Windchill APIs, Windchill REST Services (WRS), Info*Engine, and Web Services.
• Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE development and Windchill customization.
• Experience with Oracle and MS SQL databases, including data extraction, profiling, transformation, and reconciliation.
• Expertise in processing XML, CSV, and JSON formats; experience with ETL tools and migration frameworks.
• Knowledge of ERP integrations (SAP) and CAD integrations including Creo.

Responsibilities

• Lead Windchill migration projects from planning through production deployment.
• Define migration strategy, data mapping, transformation rules, and reconciliation processes.
• Analyze source and target data models and identify data quality issues.
• Design and develop migration solutions using Windchill APIs, utilities, and migration frameworks.
• Execute ETL processes for Parts, Documents, CAD Data, BOMs, and more.
• Develop migration scripts and automation utilities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and post-migration verification activities.
• Lead technical design reviews and provide guidance to migration teams.
• Collaborate with business users, solution architects, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless migration.
• Support cutover planning, mock migrations, go-live activities, and production stabilization.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and recommend robust technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, quality, and security standards during migration.

Your Profile

• Lead Windchill migration projects from planning through production deployment.

• Lead technical design reviews and provide guidance to migration teams.
• Work closely with business users, solution architects, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless migration execution.
• Support cutover planning, mock migrations, go-live activities, and production stabilization.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and recommend robust technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, quality, and security standards throughout the migration lifecycle.

Your Role

• Minimum 8+ years of overall IT experience with at least 4+ years of hands‑on experience in PTC Windchill PLM.
• Strong experience leading enterprise‑scale Windchill migration and upgrade programs.
• Deep understanding of Windchill Data Model, WTPart, EPMDocument, Change Management, Product Structure/BOM, Lifecycle Management, Workflow, and Classification.
• Hands‑on experience with Windchill APIs, Windchill REST Services (WRS), Info*Engine, and Web Services.
• Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE development and Windchill customization.
• Experience with Oracle and/or MS SQL databases, including data extraction, profiling, transformation, and reconciliation.
• Expertise in processing and transforming XML, CSV, and JSON data formats.
• Experience with ETL tools, migration frameworks, and large‑scale data migration methodologies.
• Knowledge of ERP integrations, preferably SAP, and CAD integrations including Creo.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Proven experience in leading technical teams, conducting design reviews, mentoring team members, and managing project risks.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and global implementation programs.
