Job summary

Mirafra is seeking a WLAN validation engineer in Bengaluru to validate 802.11 products including Access Points and Wi‑Fi Direct. The role involves creating system test plans, designing and implementing test beds, and conducting comprehensive system‑level tests focusing on functionality, stability and throughput.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of WLAN experience, strong Python and Shell scripting, Linux expertise, and solid IP networking knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EEE/ECE/IT or equivalent.
• Linux OS experience is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in WLAN products.
• Scripting skills in Python and Shell are required.
• Wi‑Fi knowledge including 802.11a/b/g/n/11ac/11ax/Wi‑Fi 6E is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of tools for Wi‑Fi traffic testing and protocol analysis.
• Strong IP networking knowledge (IP, DNS, DHCP, Multicast).

Responsibilities

• Validate 802.11 WLAN products (AP, Wi‑Fi Direct, Station).
• Create system test plans and design test beds.
• Perform system‑level testing and evaluate functionality, stability and throughput.
• Assist with BT coex testing as an added capability.
• Analyze traffic with Wi‑Fi testing tools and protocol analyzers.

Job Overview:Validation of 802.11 Wireless LAN products (Access Point/Wi-Fi Direct/Station), BT Coex testing System test plan creation, test bed design and implementation

Qualifications

Bachelors in Computer Science/EEE/ECE/Electronics/IT or equivalent degree is minimum needed.

Scripting skills

Python, Shell scripting Experience with Linux OS mandatory.

Wi-Fi working knowledge is needed. (Wi-Fi Station, Access point - Mandatory. Specification knowledge in 802.11a/b/g/n/11ac/11ax/Wi-Fi 6E is mandatory.

Good to have: Wi-7, Wi-Direct,NAN. Good knowledge of tools for Wi-Fi traffic testing (Iperf, C hariot), protocol analysis (Omnipeek, Wireshark, tshark), Network traffic analysis (tcpdump).

Good knowledge of IP networking is mandatory. (IP, DNS, DHCP, Multicast)

A minimum of 5 years of working experience in WLAN products.

Functionality,stability and Performance throughput testing knowledge should have.

BT knowledge and testing is added advantage.

Wi-Fi alliance certification experience is also added advantage.

Good interpersonal, communication (Written and Verbal), interest to learn and excel and positive approach in work are mandatory.
