Job summary

Apple Inc. in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a Wireless Stability Test Engineer to join the Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems team. You will design and execute tests for Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth and Thread across iOS, macOS, watchOS and other platforms to ensure product stability.

You will develop test plans, automate tests with C/C++ or Python, analyze failures, and collaborate with software and hardware teams to deliver high-quality wireless experiences for customers.

• Build, configure, and maintain test infrastructure for iOS, macOS, and watchOS platforms.
• Collaborate closely with software and hardware teams.

Description

As a Wireless Stability Test Engineer, you will join a dynamic team responsible for the stability of WiFi, Bluetooth and Thread software on Apple products. The successful candidate will be involved in stress and stability testing for WiFi/BT technologies and its features for iPhones/iPads, Apple Watches, Apple TV's, and Mac product lines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute software tests to identify and address stability & functional issues ensuring high quality Wireless Software.
• Define and execute test plans to validate Wi-Fi/BT & Thread features of Apple products, ensuring they meet stability requirements.
• Raise issues and follow up with the development team to identify the root cause using Apple internal tools.
• Investigate user/field issues, and perform engineering analysis to understand and add test coverage for reproduction.
• Automate test cases and objective C frameworks to contribute to the test workflow infrastructure.
• Build, configure, and maintain test infrastructure to efficiently assess various iOS, macOS, and watchOS platforms.
• Closely collaborate with software and hardware teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in testing Wireless technologies - WiFi and/or Bluetooth - Functional or Performance or Stability Testing
• Good experience of testing WiFi/BT Chipsets across technologies and devices
• Good Understanding and working knowledge of WiFi and BT protocols preferred, CWNA preferred
• Preferable to have automation experience in any of the programming languages - C/C++ or scripting skills in python/shell.
• Deep understanding of SQA methodologies & practices
• Good understanding of Operating System concepts
• Experience in developing test strategies and test methodologies and experience in developing automated test cases
• Can clearly communicate and drive projects across many teams
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Electronics and Communications or equivalent
