Job summary

Daskalos is seeking a Website Engineering Lead to build and maintain high-performance WordPress websites. You will lead a small team of developers, review code, and uphold engineering standards while delivering reliable releases across marketing and product initiatives.

Responsibilities include building custom themes/plugins, integrating Salesforce, optimizing Core Web Vitals, and collaborating with product, design, and marketing to ship website enhancements.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of professional WordPress development experience.
• Strong PHP 8+ OOP knowledge required.
• Expertise in custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Proficiency with WordPress hooks, filters, APIs, REST APIs, and Composer.
• Experience with Custom Post Types, Taxonomies, and Metadata.
• Solid JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JS skills.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with WordPress via APIs/middleware.
• Knowledge of performance optimization and Core Web Vitals.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and automated testing.
• Good MySQL, Linux, caching, CDN, HTTP, security, and API integration understanding.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
