About the internship

For a staffing company, the website is where employers and candidates first meet us. Client enquiry forms, job listing pages, candidate registration and blog posts all live there, and each one has to load fast and work properly. This internship puts you on the team that builds and maintains those pages. You will work on a live site, see your changes reach real visitors and learn how a business website is kept healthy.

What you will do

• Write PHP code for enquiry forms, candidate registration and custom features


• Connect pages to MySQL databases and write the queries they need


• Customise WordPress themes and set up plugins where required


• Turn approved design layouts into responsive, working pages


• Improve page speed through image optimisation and cleaner code


• Share progress in daily check-ins and a weekly review

What we are looking for
