Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an experienced STP Operator in India to manage the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of a Sewage Treatment Plant. The role requires overseeing water quality compliance and safe plant operations.

The ideal candidate has ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental Engineering or related field, with extensive hands-on experience in STP processes and equipment.

Qualifications

• 25 years of experience in STP operation or related field.
• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental Engineering or related field required.
• Experience with water treatment processes and plant safety practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) daily.
• Monitor treatment process: screening, equalization, aeration, clarification, filtration, and disinfection.
• Operate and monitor pumps, blowers, agitators, filters, dosing systems, and sludge handling equipment.
• Monitor parameters such as pH, TDS, COD, BOD, DO, and chlorine levels.
• Maintain MLSS, sludge levels, aeration, and chemical dosing.
• Carry out routine inspection of STP equipment and identify abnormalities.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of pumps, motors, blowers, valves, and control panels.
