Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Vascular Surgery Medical Coder with 3-6 years of hands‑on experience in US healthcare medical coding. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of vascular surgery procedures, CPT coding, ICD-10-CM, and applicable coding guidelines, along with a valid CPC certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical records, operative reports, and physician documentation to accurately assign CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes, as applicable.
• Perform vascular surgery coding for procedures involving arteries, veins, and other vascular structures.
• Demonstrate expertise in coding procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, thrombectomy, endarterectomy, bypass grafting, and vascular access procedures.
• Apply CPT guidelines, NCCI edits, bundling rules, modifier requirements, and payer‑specific coding guidelines.
• Identify documentation gaps, coding discrepancies, and opportunities for clarification.
• Maintain productivity, coding accuracy, and quality standards as per client requirements.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain patient data confidentiality.
• Collaborate with quality auditors and team leaders to resolve coding‑related issues.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 3-6 years of experience in US healthcare medical coding, specifically in Vascular Surgery.
• Valid CPC certification is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II coding.
• Hands‑on experience reviewing vascular surgery operative reports.
