Med-metrix in Chennai seeks a detail-oriented Surgery Coder with 1-3 years of hands-on coding experience to join our Medical Coding team. You will review operative reports and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for various surgical specialties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines.

The ideal candidate holds CPC/CRC/CCS certifications and can work independently to meet productivity and quality targets, with immediate joiners preferred or up to 15 days notice.

Competenze

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Surgery Coder with 1-3 years of hands-on experience in Surgical Coding. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing operative reports and clinical documentation to accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for various surgical specialties while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines, payer regulations, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review operative reports, physician documentation, and medical records for accurate code assignment.
• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for surgical procedures and related services.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, AMA, payer-specific, and client-specific coding guidelines.
• Analyze documentation to determine correct coding and identify opportunities for clarification from providers.
• Apply appropriate modifiers and sequencing rules to surgical claims.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards as established by organizational requirements.
• Participate in coding audits, quality reviews, and process improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated on coding guideline changes, regulatory updates, and industry best practices.
• Support internal and external audit requirements and implement corrective actions as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in Surgery Coding.
• Strong knowledge of:

Mandatory Certification
