• Billing & Documentation: Perform IPD and TPA billing, including implant bills and doctor charges; coordinate with doctors, nurses, and MRD to compile discharge summaries and medical notes.
• Insurance Coordination & Follow-Ups: Liaise with TPAs and insurance executives to track claim status, clear pending approvals, and resolve queries; follow up on outstanding payments and reconcile settled claims.

Role & responsibilities

Pre-Authorization & Admission:

• Verify patient health insurance eligibility, policy coverage, and TPA details at the time of admission.
• Prepare and submit cashless pre-authorization and enhancement requests to TPA/insurance portals.

Billing & Documentation:

• Perform accurate inpatient department (IPD) and TPA billing, including implant bills and doctor charges.
• Coordinate with treating doctors, nursing staff, and the Medical Records Department (MRD) to compile complete discharge summaries and medical notes.
• Upload digital files to TPA portals and courier physical hard-copy medical files to insurance companies.

Insurance Coordination & Follow-Ups:

• Liaise daily with TPAs and insurance executives to track claim status, clear pending approvals, and resolve queries or deductions.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and reconcile settled claims with the hospital's accounts department.

Preferred candidate profile

• High attention to detail to prevent claim rejections or calculation errors.
