Job summary

Dr.Kamakshi Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Radiotherapy Technician to operate radiotherapy equipment, assist in planning and delivering treatment, and position patients accurately. You will verify parameters, maintain records, and ensure safety and compliance in a busy hospital setting.

Collaborating with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists, you will support QA activities and provide compassionate patient care while upholding regulatory standards and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 25 years of relevant experience in a hospital / Radiation Oncology department.
• Good knowledge of radiation safety practices and radiotherapy procedures.
• Good communication and patient-handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and handle radiotherapy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of radiation treatment as per the prescribed treatment plan.
• Position and immobilize patients accurately for radiation therapy.
• Verify patient identity, treatment site, and prescribed treatment parameters before each session.
• Perform daily machine and treatment area checks as per departmental protocols.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and patient documentation.
• Monitor patients during treatment and report any adverse reactions or concerns to the Radiation Oncologist.
• Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, and other healthcare professionals for smooth treatment delivery.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and safe handling of radiotherapy equipment.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and departmental audits.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide compassionate patient care.
